Simply sign up for a free Throttl expert account and complete the onboarding process which only takes two minutes on average.
During the onboarding process, you will be required to enter your personal details, add your bank account information to receive payments, and create a public worker profile to showcase your talents.
A short video to introduce yourself to our vetting team would be fantastic as it helps you stand out. Your worker profile should also highlight your top 5% skills and show us examples of your most successful projects.
Yes. We want to make sure you get paid (well paid) for your expertise. So to do that, we need your ABN (for Australian workers) or your registered business number (for all other nationalities).
The first step is to fully complete your worker profile. Make sure you upload a short video to introduce yourself to our vetting team (and to help you stand out), highlight your specialist skillset and show us examples of your most successful projects.
Our vetting team will wait until you finish it. Due to the volume of applications we receive from experts wanting to be on the Throttl platform, we can only review fully completed profiles. So if you haven’t finished yours, please come back to it as soon as you can.
Our vetting process is thorough (like everything we do!). As such, the entire vetting process usually takes about a week. However, if you complete your profile in full and provide contactable references, this process can be as quick as just 48 hours.
If successful (and we hope you are), you’ll receive an email welcoming you onto the Throttl platform. Once accepted, you’ll also see your SlipStream™ Opportunities appear within your Throttl expert dashboard. These are projects that are waiting for your consideration.
Yes, absolutely. As you gain more experience and complete more successful projects, we strongly encourage you to update your profile so we can review your progress and, hopefully, one day welcome you into the Throttl community of experts.
Our Digital Growth Advisors will send you client opportunities via Throttl’s proprietary SlipStream™ tool. Each brief will include a detailed needs analysis, project explainer video (with measures of success) and any other relevant attachments or briefing documentation. If you still have any questions once reviewing everything, just get in touch.
You can do so using our SlipStream™ system. You will need to first accept the opportunity sent by a Digital Growth Advisor. Then, respond to the opportunity with your quotation. SlipStream™ will enable you to add your deliverables, rates (hourly, day, or project), exclusions, and attach any supporting documentation you need to get the gig.
It only takes 3-5 minutes to scan and review each opportunity. Then once you have your strategy and deliverables ready, you can generate your quote in less than 5 minutes. We don’t want to bog you down with accounting. We want you to concentrate on the projects you love. That’s why you’re here.
As soon as your quote has been accepted – bingo! Throttl will send you an email congratulating you on getting the gig. Then in just one click, your Digital Growth Advisor will set up the project directly into your Throttl expert dashboard. They’ll then process the payment with the client (ensuring your payments) before updating the project status from ‘Pending Payment’ to ‘Live’. Then you’re underway.
Your Throttl dashboard does just about everything. You can update your deliverables, insert notes and messages, upload attachments and even add video links.
You deserve to get paid promptly. And that’s what we promise. But we can’t do that without your banking or PayPal details. So if you haven’t already added your banking details or would like to update your banking details, you can do so by going to the ‘Payment Settings’ page of your account. Then add (or change) your bank account details and click ‘Submit’. Why not go and do it now?
No. Throttl’s finance team will do all that. They’ll create a recipient created tax invoice (RCTI) for you upon the completion of each project (or each payment stage).
An RCTI is an automated platform-generated worker invoice from you to Throttl’s finance department with all the correct information the Throttl accounts team need to successfully release payment to you. Within your relevant account software (e.g. Xero), this invoice will be automatically added as normal sales income.
Our experts deserve to be paid promptly for their expertise, so we release all payments within 7 days of successful completion of a project (or a relevant project stage).
